Just a note, it made me suspisious. Umpiring for Northview on Saturday. On a force at second the player slide right behind the bag into the fielder. Not at the base. He never touched it. and I, the base umpire, called interfearance. The problem is that their argument wasn't I was wrong but , "ITS NOT YOUR CALL!!" I have a feeling that they are teaching their players to take them out right behind the bag because it is not the base umpire's call. So watch out! I informed them that interfearance is the call of whichever umpire sees it. I do not know if it sank in.
